Your data is important to us…
SV Investigations is a detective agency that holds so-called Private Investigation Agency (POB) licences 14.1720.05 and 14.1916.07 issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belgium and licences 1375 and 1635 issued by the Ministry of Justice and Security in the Netherlands. SV Investigations is aware of how to carefully handle your personal data. This is why we also take the greatest care when we process and store your data and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a guiding factor.
Responsibility for processing your personal data
We occasionally receive personal data from our clients. We may also obtain your personal data during the course of a criminal investigation or other activities. We may also share your personal data with third parties, but we will only do this if you have given your consent. However, we may share your data with third parties without your consent if we are under a legal obligation to do so.
Purposes for using your personal data
SV Investigations uses your data for the following purposes:
- to correctly perform detective investigations or other investigations
- to provide our clients and other interested parties with the correct personal information
- for institutions and/or companies where we are under a legal obligation to store your data
Personal data that we process
In any event, SV Investigations processes the following personal data when we already have your data in our records:
- name, address and place of residence information
- your contact details (e.g. your email address and telephone number)
- data that is specific to you as a person and that you have voluntarily provided to us.
We may also process specific personal data about you, such as financial information or information about criminal records.
How do you know which personal data we store?
ST Investigations stores your personal data digitally. If you would like to know which personal data we have stored, you can request this and/or inspect it. Furthermore, you have the right to correct your personal data, amend it, have it removed but also to object to the storage of your data. In most cases, you will have given your consent for us to store your personal data, but you can also withdraw your consent at any time.
We will only handle your request to withdraw your consent for this purpose in writing, preferably by email.

For how long do we store your personal data?
SV Investigations does not store your personal data for any longer than is strictly necessary. SV Investigations only stores the personal data about you that it needs to store. SV Investigations also only stores your personal data for the purposes stated above in this Privacy Statement.

Safe storage of your personal data
SV Investigations is aware of the risks involved with storing your personal data in digital and other formats. SV Investigations has put in place significant organisational and technical protection measures to reduce the risk of anything untoward happening to your personal data. Our staff realise the importance of the keeping your personal data confidential. Our computers are protected against hacking and have robust virus detection systems. We use access protection, not only for our computers, but also for our premises.
